The Manitoba Apartments project required thoughtful planning and a creative approach to troubleshooting some construction challenges as they came up. The Oden Team was able to safely and effectively complete the exterior renovation under a tight deadline and figured out a unique way to keep the project within budget.
The Manitoba Apartment complex is 50 plus years old, and the exterior, most notably the roof, was originally built in such a way that a normal approach to roofing was not going to work. The Oden Team had to figure out how to safely remove the clay tile, fit the shingles under the coping, and install the new architectural shingles.
Removed and Replaced 5,000 square feet of clay tile
Not only did the Oden Team effectively troubleshoot the construction challenges associated with the original roofing (a very common style for this region of Texas), but we also managed to remove 5,000 square feet of clay tile and replace it with architectural shingles that gave the buildings a more modern look, dramatically improving the overall curbside appeal of the complex.
With some prior experience working with this style of roofing, and careful due diligence, we were able to address some of the project's challenges before kicking off construction. Ultimately, our team completed the Manitoba project on time and on budget leaving both the client and complex's residents very satisfied with the final result.
